The Sweet Tooth Cakery is a 100 % gluten-free boutique bakeshop that specializes in creating delicious, gluten-free, cakes, cookies and other sweet delights. Our specialty is creating fully decorated, gluten-free wedding and special occasion cakes, but to be honest we love making anything sweet!
We only bake gluten- free and we believe in the value and quality of small batch baking to guarantee the freshest and the tastiest treats. Because we are 100% gluten-free there are no worries about cross contamination. We also work closely with all our suppliers to ensure that all our ingredients are safe.
We are located at 2055 Old Dollarton Road in North Vancouver, BC. We are open Tuesdays through Saturdays. You can also place orders online for some of our most popular products and either have them ready for you to pick up at the store or shipped right to your door. Some restrictions apply.
Not only are our products gluten-free but we have numerous options that are dairy-free, egg-free and vegan. We are always experimenting (when we have spare time!) so let us know about your dietary restriction and we are happy to try and create a delicious alternative for you.
I have been baking ever since I can remember. I have always found the process of baking fulfilling and it just seemed to come to me naturally. I started cake decorating 7 years ago, when my sister announced she was getting married. I volunteered to make the cake. I haven’t looked back since!
In 2006, I discovered I was celiac. Initially, I gave up baking. I couldn't eat wheat flour so what was the point? But after one year on the celiac diet, and having tried a variety of the products available, I realized what a great need existed for tasty gluten-free treats. That was enough to spur me on to return to baking and of course decorating.
With a background in museum exhibit design and a certificate in floral design, decorating cakes was something that just came naturally. Combining these professional skills, my love of baking, and my acute attention to details, I created The Sweet Tooth Cakery.
Since 2008, I have dreamed of having my own retail bakeshop. Now that sweet dream is a reality and I am so happy to be able to share my dream and my cravings with you!
